“My turn!”, or “Mun Vuoro!”, is a joint participatory project of eight Finnish organizations for
children and youth: the Kaleva Youth Association, The Children’s Organization of the
National Coalition Party, the Finnish Falcon Movement, the Finnish Federation of Settlement
Youth Associations, the Democratic Union of Finnish Pioneers, the Guides and Scouts of
Finland, the Christian Association for Boys and Girls in Finland, and the Central Union of Vesaiset.

The project was launched in October 2009 and will continue until the end of 2011.
The main purpose is to develop methods for child participation and to support education
for democracy in the eight organizations. In addition, the project promotes the U.N.
Convention on the Rights of the Child by gathering
children’s views on issues concerning themselves and bringing them to public attention.

The targetgroup of the project is children aged 6-12.

On this website we provide not only information on the project but also supportive
material for adults working with children. All material is in Finnish.

“My turn!” is financed by the Ministry of Education in Finland.
